Description:
When created a data link to connect to my MySql Server 5.x via ODBC using Excel 2010's Power Pivot, I get the error:

Test connection failed because of an error initializing provider. Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126 (MySql ODBC 5.2w Driver)

How to repeat:
1) install odbc 64 bit for windows
2) create odbc user DSN
3) open excel 2010 with PowerPivot plugin
4) use 'obtain data from external data source'
5) choose 'others (ODBC)'
6) click "Build..."
7) choose DSN created in (2)
8) input user/password
9) hit Test Connection

issue was fix by installing both 32bit and 64bit drivers
