Description:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-nutshell.html says the following:

"
Removed Features
...
The have_csv, have_innodb, have_ndbcluster, and have_partitioning system variables. Use SHOW ENGINES instead. 
"

However using SHOW ENGINES does not work as a have_partitioning replacement, because neither 5.5 nor 5.6 show it:

Using SHOW PLUGINS / I_S.PLUGINS works though:

Not even in 5.1 is 'partition' shown by 'SHOW ENGINES', but is shown by 'SHOW PLUGINS', just like in 5.6.

I suggest to update the documentation to reflect this!
