Thank you for the bug report. Verified as described.
For some reason, this bug's severity was S4 (feature request). I changed that.

Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Workbench 6.1.3 release, and here's the changelog entry:

On Mac OS X, the "Find" button was grayed out (disabled).
