Description:
Hi whenever i try to install MySQL for Excel i am getting told that Excel/Office is not installed. Is there a way to force this or is there a version for office 2013?

The version of office we are running is 32bit on windows 7 Pro 64bit

How to repeat:
Run installer and attempt to select MySQL for Excel

The problem is repeatable with 64-bit version of MS Office 2013 as well.
However, the MySQL Installer is able to detect MS Office 2007.

I also confirmed the problem occurs on Windows 8 64-bit.

The problem is exactly as reported and is critical for me. Any workarounds or a chance for this to be fixed soon?

This happens to me as well. I've tested on two machine, either of which has Win8Pro 64bit and Office 365 home premium. And my system language is Chinese.

This same issue occurs on Windows Server 2008 64-bit.

This is actually a bug for the MySQL Installer and not for MySQL for Excel.
The same problem was fixed in bug 16293188, so flagging this one as duplicate.
