please try new workbench version 5.2.47 could you please provide details on: OS and version used? mysql server version used? using remote connection? Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

It seems like there needs to be either a lot of items to clear or somehow when the administrator is open that causes it. Either way its extremely unstable.
