Are you tried setting IE Internet Options (Local Area Network (LAN) Settings) checking Use a proxy server...?. Thanks.

Everything is set. The problem is that the proxy requires a username and password, which are changed quarterly.

Verified this now. I setup my browsers, etc to go through squid and ask for basic authentication which works. But not in installation... 1395676380.483 0 192.168.1.3 TCP_DENIED/407 3617 GET http://wb.mysql.com/installer/products.xml - HIER_NONE/- text/html

Proxy (with authentication) is still not supported. Hence, MySQL Installer cannot be used behind a corporate firewall. Are there any plans to support it?
