Description:
Unable to open connection to default local instance with MySQL Workbench CE for Windows version 5.2.45 revision 10251 installed on Windows Server 2012. The SQL editor never opens.

How to repeat:
1. Open MySQL Workbench
2. Right click connection and click query database.
3. The status bar says connection cancelled.
4. Click "Open Connection to Start Querying"
5. Select DB to connect to and click OK.
6. Workbench crashes with error APPCRASH and references grt.dll.

5.2.44 would work open the SQL editor once and then wouldn't work again until a reboot.
