Description:
It would be useful if the server plugin interface allowed plugins to define and expose floating-point system variables of type double.

How to repeat:
There is currently no way to define floating-point system variables using the server plugin API.

The fractional part of the def, min and max values of system  variables is ignored.

Noted in 5.7.2 changelog.

Plugins can now define and expose floating-point system variables of
type double using the MYSQL_SYSVAR_DOUBLE() and MYSQL_THDVAR_DOUBLE()
accessor macros. See:
