Description:
When i open a connection and after a while i run a query, the workbench starts to run the query but never finish, I can't stop the execution or close the connection tab. I have to force quit the application

How to repeat:
Open a connection on workbench, wait a while (5 minutes) and try to run the query.  

Suggested fix:
Allow to execute a query even a long time after opening the connection or warn the connection was closed.

Thank you for the bug report. I couldn't repeat on below environment and 5.2.47.
