Description:
In the Admin/Local Instance/Data Export window:
I select a database to export
Under Export to Self-Contained File, click [...] next to File Path

An error pops up saying:
MySQL has encountered a problem
The path is not of a legal form.

The Save As dialog appears, but the Select Database Objects to Export windows both get a red X in them. Before I clicked the [...] button, they had previously displayed all of the databases and their respective tables correctly.

How to repeat:
Windows XP
Open MySQL Workbench
Open the Admin (Local Instance) window
Select the Data Export task
Select a database to export
Under Export to Self-Contained File, click [...] next to File Path

An error pops up saying:
MySQL has encountered a problem
The path is not of a legal form.

Please, check if the same problem still happens with a newer version, 5.2.44. This is an old bug that was fixed long time ago.

Please try version 5.2.44. Thanks.
