Description:
Installer (MSI, 64bit) has created the service but reported that could not. The created service doesn't work.

The error message: Cannot create Windows service for MySQL.5.5. Error: 0

The database directory is empty.

How to workaround this problem and install MySQL?

How to repeat:
Just install MySQL, then start MySQL Server Instance Configuration Wizard and attempt to create an instance.

Thank you for the bug report. That's a fresh install or upgrade. If upgrade please describe the older version. Thanks.

Hello, it was a fresh install.

Now, I've deinstalled the 5.5, downloaded the 5.6 rc zip, installed it manually (as a console) and it works.

Are you able to provide the instructions step by step how the installer failed? otherwise maybe I won't be able to verify this bug report and so I can't to check the status as verified. Thanks.

No so far, because I've uninstalled it so far and installed 5.6 (I need a working installation).

But I didn't do anything strange. Some notes:
1) I've specified installation path and database path,
2) I've unset one of checkboxes at one of screens (I don't remember its name exactly - something like 'install data files').

I couldn't repeat with 5.5.32 release.
