Description:
Using MySQL Workbench on Windows 7 Pro x64.
It has been installed and working well for a long time.

I opened a SQL script in the upper panel.
Then I inadvertently entered a string to search for BEFORE running the script.
(brain was ahead of fingers....)
So the lower results panel was empty.

This caused the workbench to hang ("not responding").
The mouse cursor disappeared.
I had to go to task manager and end process. (The CPU showed 13% use)

I have easily reproduced this.
It's not destructive, but time-wasting.

How to repeat:
With an empty Query Results panel showing in the lower area, enter any string in the search box. Hit enter.

You do not have to open any script first.

Please try version 5.2.42. Thanks.

I installed Workbench 5.3.42 and tested this problem.

The editor layout is different (I like it) and since you cannot see the filter/search box for a results panel until you run the script, the problem is solved.

Thanks!
