The MySQL server is running when clicked the stored connection?. If you create a new connection it presents the same issue?. The connection is local or remote?. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem with 5.2.43 on MacOSX m The connexion is one through SSH. The query was quite complex (many inner and left join). Suddenly MW crashed and now impossible to open my connexion (auto saved). The solution is to duplicate the connexion in the manager and open it, you can destroy the bad one.

Am having the same problem with 5.2.44 on OS X 10.8.2 As soon as I execute a query WB crashes.

I have realised that the problem is with the menu and not the query. If I right click over say a table and use the meu to get 1000 records it crashes. On the other hand if I click on the table and then run the query from the panel it is OK.

Using MySQL WorkBench 5.2.47 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. The application crashes when I try to open a new query. And occasionally, when I double click on a connection it just says at the status bar at the bottom: Connection Cancelled. This is the error when opening a new query: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: MySQLWorkbench.exe Application Version: 5.2.47.10398 Application Timestamp: 511d76f0 Fault Module Name: grt.dll Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 511d6840 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00001a88 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.274.10 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt

I re-installed MySQL Workbench and it crashes crashes crashes. I am on OS X 10.8.4. This just started happening after months of using it. As I said, I uninstalled it and it makes no difference. I am using MySQL 5.5 and it runs fine from the command line. But I discovered that SQL Developer (free!) has a Mac Version and it works like a charm. Since I use that when I am forced to use Windows, it's a no brainer. Thank you for all the years of good service, MySQL Workbench. I'm gone.
