The MySQL server is running when clicked the stored connection?. If you create a new connection it presents the same issue?. The connection is local or remote?. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem with 5.2.43 on MacOSX
m
The connexion is one through SSH.

The query was quite complex (many inner and left join). Suddenly MW crashed and now impossible to open my connexion (auto saved).

The solution is to duplicate the connexion in the manager and open it, you can destroy the bad one.
[1 Oct 2012 13:53] MySQL Verification Team
Please try version 5.2.44. Thanks.

Am having the same problem with 5.2.44 on OS X 10.8.2

As soon as I execute a query WB crashes.
[11 Dec 2012 6:52] Alistair Barron
I have realised that the problem is with the menu and not the query.

If I right click over say a table and use the meu to get 1000 records it crashes. On the other hand if I click on the table and then run the query from the panel it is OK.

Could you please try version 5.2.46. Thanks.

Using MySQL WorkBench 5.2.47 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. The application crashes when I try to open a new query. And occasionally, when I double click on a connection it just says at the status bar at the bottom: Connection Cancelled.

This is the error when opening a new query:

MySQLServer 5.5

I couldn't repeat with 5.2.47 on MacBook Pro Mountain Lion.

I re-installed MySQL Workbench and it crashes crashes crashes. I am on OS X 10.8.4. This just started happening after months of using it. As I said, I uninstalled it and it makes no difference. I am using MySQL 5.5 and it runs fine from the command line.

But I discovered that SQL Developer (free!) has a Mac Version and it works like a charm. Since I use that when I am forced to use Windows, it's a no brainer. Thank you for all the years of good service, MySQL Workbench. I'm gone.
[11 Jul 2013 1:36] Tom NOT_FOUND
As I just saw somebody say they had luck when they deleted their old connection and created a new one, I bit.
