Description:
First os all, despite the field type was the same in main table and in foreign table, the "reference column" was empty. After OPTMIZE it was ok, but I get the crash 

How to repeat:
I was creating a foreign key (after OPTIMIZE command). The field is CHAR(3). Then I get the unexpected error.

Please, check if the same problem still happens with a newer version, 5.2.40.
