Description:
I installed MySQL 4.1.7 in a Windows 2000 Professional running PHP 4.3.9 and i am getting the following error when accessed from a php page.

The error is:
#1251 - Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

What could be the reason for it?

How to repeat:
Install MySQL 4.1.7

Run phpMyAdmin configured to connect to the MySQL.
