I do not see any problem to select or insert these characters, ÐðÞþÆæ., via grid in the SQL Editor. I use Workbench 5.2.40 on Windows XP. Editor font in preferences is set to "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono 10".

I couldn't repeat on Windows 7 64-bit too. Please try 5.2.40. Thanks.

I confirm this bug too. The bug occurs when I try to type Greek (try copying and pasting the word ΑΘΗΝΑ) in the Mysql Workbench Editor. My workbench version is 5.2.40 CE rev 8790.

How do you input the characters? Copy/paste or keyboard? Do both methods give the same results?

I have tried both methods, with the same results.
