Problem is reproduced on last (5.2.38 CE revision 8753) version of Workbench, too.

You probably meant "es", not "ex"... Anyway, verified with 5.2.38 on Windows XP. My initial test was on Mac OS X that is not affected by this bug.

This has been fixed as of the soon-to-be-released Workbench 5.2.41, and here's the changelog entry: The "Replace All" option would not function when the replacement string was empty.
