Description:
I can not use MySql WorkBench with my vista 32bit x86 from two days now
I don't know why! before it works good, i modeled a database with but now i can not open it. I have this message from windows: "MySql Workben a cessé de fonctionner" when i execute debugger it told me that: An unhandled Microsoft .NET Framework exception occurred in MySql Workbench.exe[60048]and it invites me to enable Just-In-Time debugging in Visual Studio!
How to fix this problem please?

We need more details. Try to start Workbench from cmd.exe command line window with -log-level=debug3 option and then send wb.out file it creates. Send also the exact crashing event from Event Log of Windows.

I ran the command as you showed me from de command line, and it did not generate the file wb.out in the folder of mysqlworkbench. and always the dialog is displayed from windows showing the same message

Un problème a fait que le programme a cessé de fonctionner correctement.
Windows va fermer ce programme et vous indiquer si une solution est disponible.
there are two buttons : 'Déboguer' and 'Fermer le programme'
if a i click on Déboguer, it shows the same message in the previous post.(An unhandled Microsoft .Net...etc. No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled. In visual Studio, Just-In-Time debugging can be enabled from Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time

Do i need to install Visual Studio to debug program?

I note that i had installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) before installing Mysql Workbench

yes i had installed .Net framework 4 (dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe)and also client profile (vcredist_x86.exe)and i have also the same problème: Yesterday when I booted my machine it opened normally, but when I closed it and want to reopen it, it crash again.
I do not know if this is from my machine or mysql, all software work well on my computer except mysqlworkbench.
I have deleted and reinstalled again but still the same problem :(

I'll use another tool to model database. Too bad that it will take me several more hours to redo all my work on another tool. We can not trust MySQL Workbench which contains several bugs, at least for now.

I saved a file to a mail and when I wanted to open it, my browser offers to open it with workbench installed on my computer, I click YES and it opens normally. I tried several times and it always opens it, great. When I try to open it directly from my post it does not work. So I created a simple html file:

As I open my file from the browser and it works great!
This is a temporary solution until a new version of Mysql Worbench stable on all OS. I hope this helps those who have had the same problem as me, and it gives an idea can be programmers to MySQL Workbench to integrate a solution in the next version.

thank you for your patience, but we're still trying to figure out the cause of your problem since we haven't seen such behavior yet.

can you try to delete your workbench-settings-folder - please archive it into a zip file prior to removing it, first that you are able to restore it and second, if that turns out to be working we would ask you to provide the content of the config folder so we can reproduce and fix it.

you should find your workbench-config folder at the following location:
C:\Users\Rayan\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench
just archive the complete Workbench-folder and delete the actual folder afterwards. Workbench will create a new one once started.
Please be aware that this deletes your settings, connections and document-history, so be sure to archive it first.

I did exactly as you have indicated, but still the same problem, windows can not run it, and thus the Workbench folder is not created. From a web browser, it runs fine, and there I see that it creates the Workbench folder.
