Description:
When using Linux Mint 12, using the MATE (http://mate-desktop.org/), MySQL Workbench is not able to save the passwords in the keyring. This is because Mate has renamed the components from gnome to mate:

$ ps ax | grep keyring
 2827 ? SLl 0:00 /usr/bin/mate-keyring-daemon --start --components=ssh

How to repeat:
try to save password in keyring when connected to a DB in Workbench on LM12

Suggested fix:
Have MySQL workbench look for mate-keyring-daemon if gnome-keyring-daemon is not present.

Neither Mint nor mate-keyring-daemon are supported.

Is there any chance you will be adding support for Mint? Because of the Gnome3 debacle, it's been the top distro for the last year:
