MySQL Verification Team
Using the Control Panel verify if even the start service failed the server and others components were installed, remove the MySQL server using the Control Panel and if you don't have data to preserve remove the data directory with administrator privileges, The data directory in the default directory is located at: C:\ProgramData\MySQL>dir "MySQL Server 5.5" Volume in drive C has no label. Volume Serial Number is A423-3779 Directory of C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5 22/02/2012 17:18 <DIR> . 22/02/2012 17:18 <DIR> .. 27/02/2012 14:41 <DIR> data 22/02/2012 17:18 9.174 my.ini 1 File(s) 9.174 bytes 3 Dir(s) 430.027.243.520 bytes free C:\ProgramData\MySQL> Try to install again. Hi, I'm having the same issue with the new msi installer for 5.5.27 - winx64 I'm also running windows 7 enterprise edition. It installed fine originally, but now after an uninstall, it won't re-install!
