Description:
I have tested connection with odbc 5.1 which works perfectly fine. However, the application I am using does has some issues with the odbc 5.1 connection. When I try the odbc 3.51, I am unable to make the connection. I keep getting the error:
Connection failed HY000 unknown MySQL server host.

How to repeat:
install odbc 3.51 (64 bit)
configure to connect to mysql ver 5.0.5
test connection

I was able to correct this problem by using the IP address of my host instead of the name. Thanks
