Description:
Using the "Search manual" feature of the online MySQL Server docs often returns poor results.

It would be great if the search were at least smart enough to filter results by 1) spoken language, and 2) server version.

How to repeat:
1) Visit http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/index.html
2) In the left sidebar under "Search manual", enter "SELECT INTO" and click Go.
3) Observe top 10 search results are all in Japanese, French, or Spanish, and all for versions other than 5.5. Actually the result we want (for SELECT Syntax in English & version 5.5) is on page 5 of the search results.

Suggested fix:
Default search limits results to same language & version as current context.

This has been brought up with the team handling Oracle Search. Yes, this is an annoyance, but there's nothing the MySQL documentation team can do about it. Sorry for the inconvenience!
