Description:
It could install MySQL Workbench and the Documentation I selected,

I chose not to install the connectors as I'm not going to do any development with this installation.

I re ran the installation msi and got this result

Install MySQL from the msi on Windows 7 64bit

I got the same result using the mysql-5.5.20-winx64.msi

So where/how/why is the network path set, I'm guessing it's variable somewhere.

The machine I'm installing on is an HP which could explain it being Hewlett-Packard

It was a fresh install on a brand new machine,

The log/output was from the 2nd attempt using the larger installer.

The 1st attempt installed workbench and documentation

Could you please provide the install process step´by step. I couldn't repeat on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bits. Thanks.

The issue is with Windows registry. Found solution that fixed the issue on the following site:
