I got the same result using the mysql-5.5.20-winx64.msi So where/how/why is the network path set, I'm guessing it's variable somewhere. The machine I'm installing on is an HP which could explain it being Hewlett-Packard

It was a fresh install on a brand new machine, The log/output was from the 2nd attempt using the larger installer. The 1st attempt installed workbench and documentation
