Description:
EER models previously available in 5.2.36 CE can no longer be opened.  The program throws an error stating that it is not a valid document.  If you try to open or create a new model, the program completely crashes.

How to repeat:
Open any EER model file.

Please, send the output of Help > System Info menu item. Send also some .mwb file that demonstrates the problem.

Indeed, .mwb file uploaded can not be opened with 5.2.37 on Mac OS X.

The file you uploaded is corrupted, possibly truncated before the end.
mwb files are zip files containing XML files inside and I cannot unzip your model
file with a zip utility either.

Thank you both for your help.  I had to recreate the model from scratch.
