I'm having the same problem. Nearly every week I've got a crash like that. Installed 4.0.13 RPMS on RedHat-7.1. Worked without problems (only crashes in Raid-Code ;-) http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=346) with 4.0.12. And no, I've got no corrupted tables BEFORE the crash. Here are some stack-traces from the last crashes. Damned that they aren't fully completed, it always fails somewhere ... . mysqld got signal 11; This could be because you hit a bug. Thank you all for this bug report. In order to help us fix a bug, we need a repeatable test case. A repeatable test case consists of a set of SQL commands that would always lead to a bug. In the case that tables are large, it is ok to upload them and send a set of SQL commands, which when executed on those tables will always lead to a bug.

Hi: I downloaded mysql-4.0.20 source and compiled it. When I started mysqld_safe, it was crashed every time.
