Description:
I have two main problems.
First is when I try to create a new system it will not recognize the service. The service is up and running and starts with Windows. I have checked through the service tracker under administrative tools in control panel. It is not allowing me to create a working server, no MySQL service found.
I created a default non-working server and found that the read on the configuration file is pointed not in ProgramData but instead Program Files, even on the 64 bit. Next is that it points to MySQL Server 5.0 file located in Program Files. I am totally new to this, but without it reading my.ini I do not know how to change the read to MYSQL Server 5.5, under the Program Files directory, where I moved a copy of my.ini .

How to repeat:
It occurred right after download. I do not know how to exactly repeat it. I am a first time user and this happened as I was just trying to begin by creating a server.

I don't understand your problem. Do you have 2 server installed 5.0 and 5.5 with their services created?. Thanks.

No, I only installed the 5.5 server with the full install package of MySQL.

Which version of WorkBench are you using?. Thanks.

I am using the latest version, but I got it fixed. I don't know why but when i installed using the packaged installer it pointed it in the wrong direction and would not recognize my.ini. However I uninstalled it and downloaded and installed everything separately and it started working.
