Description:
Tests included with the distribution don't complete successfully under Java 1.7.0
MySQL starts up, waiting for connections, but it's not possible to get a connection.

How to repeat:
Run included tests.

This bug prevents normal usage, since it's not possible to get a connection to the engine.
