Hi

How about enabling EER tab names more meaningful than EER Diagram 1, etc. The name of the file containing the model could be used as the default.

How to repeat:
Look at the EER screen.

Why not just to use Model > Diagram Properties and Size... dialog box to set meaningful name? 

With more than one diagram per .mwb file this is unavoidable, and with only one whatever default name is does not make much difference.
