Hi Where did you get the binary? I've just tried it here and it starts normally. Also, does the GPL binary work for you?

Got it from oracle. GPL works.

eDelivery or MOS? I got one from eDelivery and the md5 is: 910abcff0e31c6a145191430e07e9e89 mysql-workbench-com-se-5.2.34-osx-i686.dmg Does it match with the one you have? If not, can you try redownloading from eDelivery?

I have the same problem. I've got Snow Leopard and Lion gives the same error on startup after installation, tried both eDelivery and Patches and Updates they are the same. The md5 was correct. Seems to be looking for /usr/local/lib/libsigc-2.0.0.dylib. I don't even have that directory on my iMac.

It looks like /usr/local/lib/libsigc-2.0.0.dylib is not included in default installation for Snow Leopard and WB expects that. Was able to get the installation file from here. http://rudix.googlecode.com/files/libsigc++-2.2.4.2-0.dmg After opening that and clicking on .pkg file, the library was installed in the correct place and I was able to start WB.

I'm closing this report as not a bug. libsigc++ 2.0 is required for WB to run, as noted on the Software Requirements documentation page (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/wb-requirements-software.html). Installing libsigc++ from the link you can find in Roger's message fix the issue. Thanks again for this problem report and for your interest in MySQL Workbench. Feel free to reopen if anything.

I have the same problem as the original poster stated, trying to install MySQL Workbench on Mac OS 10.6.8, and get error message. Solution to this problem is indicated to be to follow a link provided by Roger, but this link did not work for me. I don't know what to do.
