Thank you for the bug report. Verified just as described on 32-bit Ubuntu 10.04.

Description: i am using workbench 5.2.34 rev 7780, server version : 5.1.41 in ubuntu 10.04 NX client os is also ubuntu 10.04 workbench gets crash when i try to run workbench script file, & file -> export -> forward engineer sql alter script export -> synchronize with sql create script all these options get crash & closes workbench !!! it is not even compare the script created using " forward engineer create script" How to repeat: create a sql script for the existing database, now make the changes in database, i.e add a column, now try to generate alter script, synchronize script... workbench get crash. try to run a saved script file using " scripting - run workbench script file" workbench get crash and closes ...
