Description:
Coming back to the Workbench after a while, my connection has timed out.  From the Editor window, I click on the Reconnect to DBMS icon and the application hangs... "Not Responding".  I've left it for a while and it never sorts itself out.

How to repeat:
Click the Reconnect to DBMS icon

I have this problem, running on Ubuntu Linux (or actually, Linux Mint 11, based on Ubuntu).  Specifically, I get it when I try to uncheck "Safe Updates" and reconnect.  But I just tried with Safe Updates already off, and it still crashed.

by the way i have the same issue with the reconnect button after the check on "Safe Updates".

Fixed as of 5.2.38:

After a connection has timed out, clicking "Reconnect to
DBMS" would freeze Workbench.

I installed v5.2.38 today and MySQL Workbench is still hanging on "Reconnect to DBMS"
