Description:
MySQL Administration (version 1.2.17) User Administration allows you to create new users but you cannot edit existing users. I am login as root. The User Administration User Information, Global Privileges, Schema Privileges, Schema Object Privileges are greyed out. Delete user function is also greyed out.

How to repeat:
Install mysql-5.5.13-winx64.msi and mysql-gui-tools-5.0-r17-win32.msi.

Follow the steps below to install mysql-5.5.13

1) Complete the installation by pressing "Next" all the way thru
2) Select “Detailed Configuration”
3) Choose “Developer Machine”
4) Choose “MultiFunctional Database”
5) Select path for Data, this configuration used the default location.
6) Choose “Decision Support (DSS)/OLAP
7) Enable TCP/IP Networking on 3306 and Enable Strict Mode
8) Enable standard character set
9) Install as a Windows Service and set to launch automatically, check “Include Bin Directory in Windows PATH”
10) Enter a Root Password
11) Create the setup

How is this a documentation bug?

I had the wrong category. I don't see a category for MySQL Administrator. Which Category would be the most appropriate?

Are you using WorkBench - Server Administration?. If yes please provide the output of Help->System Info. Thanks.

I was using MySQL GUI Tools Bundle and encounter the greyed out issues. I went ahead and downloaded MySQL Workbench and have no issues editing the Schema Privileges now.
