Description:
Workbench has a lot of issues with small screen sizes. Our RDP resolution is always set for 1024x768 which is reasonable for a server screen. Today I began to migrate to mySQL 5.5 which requires Workbench for user administration (the old GUI tools no longer work for user admin under 5.5)
I installed the latest Workbench hoping it had finally matured into a usable product. I had tried to use it many times before only to uninstall it in frustration each time and return to the mature GUI Tools package. This time I hoped would be different. I made it as far as creating users.

As you can see the necessary functions to add schema privileges are off the edge of the screen with no ability to scroll. I figured I would just stretch the window longer and slide it over on the screen. No go, Workbench seems to limit the size a window can be resized to to the desktop resolution so I couldn't even stretch it to see the needed controls. At this point I am stalled, plain and simple. I shouldn't need to cater my server resolution to poorly designed tools and for a supposedly mature product this type of this is ridiculous.
Really guys, I have tried to like Workbench and I keep getting caught up by things like this. I see other screen size bug reports that are over 2 years old, marked as severe, and yet have been ignored. These aren't rocket science to fix. I'm giving up.
How to repeat:
Attempt to add user schema privileges on Windows with resolution set to 1024x768.
Suggested fix:
At best Workbench should be MUCH more size aware. At worst it should not prevent you from stretching the window larger than the desktop size.
