Please, send .mwb file that demonstrates this problem.

Sorry, can't send actual mwb because of security issues surrounding the data model being used, however, this happens on all mwb files. Creating a new model and selecting "Add Table" throws the same exception. The error message is: "Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Users\spye\MySystem\Applications\MySQL Workbench 5.2.33 CE\db.mysql.editors.wbp.fe.dll' or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)" The file does exist, and is not blocked, read-only, or hidden. An update however: as of yesterday, this was failing on OS X, but when I just went in to re-test on OS X to get the specific error message there, it is no longer throwing an exception. So it is working on OS X, but not on Windows 7. Tried a fresh download, and installation to a different folder as well.

Oh my goodness... this is a crazy thing... I found a post on another site that indicated that it's possible that one stray DLL somewhere in the batch of files for Workbench might have been blocked by the NTFS file protection that triggers after extracting a ZIP file downloaded from the web. None of the ones in the main Workbench folder were. But the suggested solution was to move the entire Workbench folder to a non-NTFS drive, then move it back, which will clear the security block on whatever file is affected. Sure enough, that released something, because the error is now gone. So it looks like it was a Win7/NTFS issue, blocking one of the DLLs in a subfolder somewhere, so I will initiate that same action on the other machines that are having it. It's possible that OS X had a similar lock that cleared in the meantime as well? Seems odd though, as OS X doesn't have that kind of security block that I know of... Anyway... I apologize for getting this solved in the meantime... I spent all day yesterday trying to solve it, and figured I'd only submit a bug report if it still failed this morning. This can be closed as being not a bug. My apologies.

As for Windows and .zip binaries, it's a known problem that is reported elsewhere. As for Mac OS X, what exact binaries you had used? Please, send URL. I am on Mac now, and I had never seen problems like this with .dmg binaries, for example.

Wow I wish I could be more helpful. I can't for the life of me duplicate it on the Mac any more. I had tested it on several Win7 machines, but only on two Macs. I had just downloaded the copy straight from the web site, but I can't for the life of me duplicate it. I really don't know why :( But it definitely seems that the security permissions on Windows from the ZIP file appeared to be the issue, so everything is up and running for me again. I'll point out, while I'm at it though, I absolutely LOVE the interface improvements on this latest release. It's completely flawless in look and feel on the mac, and it has a really comfortable, smooth feel under Windows 7... job well done on this.

Not repeatable on Mac with 5.2.34, reported elsewhere for Windows (and should also fixed).
