Are you in the modeling tab or the SQL Editor tab? That option will only work from a Model tab.

i was using in modeling tab only not in editor.. the option generate catalog diff is disabled !!!

I do not see thins problem on Mac OS X also. What exact URL you had used to download these binaries?

my problem is solved yet but the bug has been closed as verified !! i still have problem using (Generate Catalog Diff), the tab generate catalog diff has been disabled, while other options like forward eng, reverse eng, synch works fine.. i am using workbench ver 5.2.33 in ubuntu... is their any limitations that catalog diff works particular in some OS only ?? bcz its works fine for my windows !! just need details for which ver of Workbench can Generate Catalog Diff on which os ????
