Description:
This took me a while to discover, but whenever I would try to launch the SQL Editor it would hang. Even though I had tested my Connection and was able to connect using the command line tools, Workbench SQL Editor would not launch. After watching logs I discovered that it was stopping because I didn't have Andale Mono font installed. I found a free version of the font and installed it. Now it works fine. It seems odd to me that a resource such as this would cause the application to not work. Andale Mono is not even a default font for Mac OS X. I would think you would use a Mac resource if you are going to have your app be dependent upon it.

How to repeat:
Launch without Andale Mono installed

Suggested fix:
Install Andale Mono

I can confirm that this font is used by default. But I had never installed it on my Mac OS X 10.5.x,and some sources like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andal%C3%A9_Mono and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fonts_in_Mac_OS_X claim it comes with Mac OS X by default.

Apparently, I must have something wrong with my Snow Leopard install then. Sorry for posting this in error.
