Description:
Running Vista 64 with installs downloaded on 15Apr2011

This report is responding to a popup labeled "MySQL Workbench Unexpected Error where the text indicates that an external component has thrown an exception by one of the Workbench modules. This occurred while viewing the Admin section and doing no more than comparing the documentation image to the program image. I am new to workbench, not familiar with the logging capabilities or their location. Will provide more info with adequate directions to dig it out.

How to repeat:
Unknown

Do you have Python installed on this machine?

Thank you for the images uploaded. But what about my requests from the previous comment?

It appears that my carefully crafted submission was dumped when I submitted the images - thus this addition.

Python is installed to support GnuCash download of stock price data.

Image 01 is the exception message originally encountered.

I have yet to successfully download a query result to a file. I enter the path info (image02) - The result is unable to open file (image03).

Attempted work around by clicking in upper left corner of query result window, Cntl+c; Cntl+v into LibreOffice spread sheet - result is same as originally reported with the notification message embedded in the spreadsheet (image04).

Comment - Get along fine with MySQL Browser and Administrator - so far Workbench is mostly a mystery.

If you have Python installed, this may be a know problem/bug of Workbench that uses that other version of Python instead of embedded one.

Please, check if the following binaries:

ftp://ftp.mysql.com/pub/mysql/download/gui-tools/mysql-workbench-gpl-snapshot-5.2.34.7605-...

solve the problem for you.

Followup - It appears that Workbench v5.2.34 has removed the exception message, and the query result export problems I was experiencing.
Thank you for your assistance.

The fix has been committed to our source repository of Workbench and will be incorporated into the next release.
