Description:
Reference :- Kerry Ancheta

We are unable to stop MySQL Server on HP-UX 11.00 machine, using
"mysqladmin -u root shutdown"
Waits indefinitely and on Ctrl+c
Warning; Aborted waiting on pid file: '/home/mysql/data/machine1.pid' after 4 seconds

We are using MySQL 3.23.56 MAX binaries shipped for HP-UX 10.20 on a HP-UX 11.00 machine. (Since MySQL does not ship binaries for HP-UX 11.00)

How to repeat:
Refer to the description

Yes, we weren't able to provide 32-bit HP-UX 11.0 binaries until recently (after the last 3.23
release). Although, MySQL 4.0.13 is available for 32-bit HP-UX 11.0 as well - would it be possible
for you to try to upgrade to 4.0 to see if that solves your problems?

You can download it at:
