Description:
Trying to create a new server instance on localhost using workbench.  Works up to the point after "Test DB connection" (which has worked) then opening window for "Set Windows configurations parameters for this machine" produces an immediate error "Attempted to read or write protected memory......"

The "select service from the list" is empty.

How to repeat:
Just do the above - fails every time after several installs of both workbench and mySQL version 5.5.8

Should have made it clearer - it's Win 7 64 bit.

Please try again with version 5.2.33b, a bug related to that has been fixed recently

Not repeatable with 5.2.33b.
