Working through tutorial:

From Query menu with SQL selected choose item:

Explain (All or Selection)

Diaglog box apears for "MySQL Workbench Unexpected Error"

How to repeat:
Repeat above steps.

Works for me on Mac OS X.

Further testing revealed the same message when trying to run a query. I left the pc alone for some 30 minutes (or more) and the connection to the database appears to have been dropped. After restarting the workbench, all is working now.
