cannot obtain source distribution of mysql-5.5 server. The following information is displayed on the source download page

You are downloading:

To make this download faster, please choose a mirror site close to you from the list below.
Flag of    	,

but no visible list of mirrors or download link

How to repeat:
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mirrors.html ->

pick a mirror (I chose wisconsin, http) which takes me to ->

http://mirror.services.wisc.edu/mysql/ ->

click on "Download Source" -> which leads to ->

http://mirror.services.wisc.edu/mysql/downloads/mysql/5.5.4.html ->

clicking on the "Download" button takes me to ->

and this page does not contain any links for download, neither auto-download takes into effect.

This error can be repeated by selecting any other mirror.

Why do you want to download 5.5.4 from some outdated mirror if 5.5.10 is already available?

Please, go to http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mirror.php?id=401810#mirrors and use whatever mirror is listed there to get source code as tar.gz. Fpr example, this one:

Thanks Kravchuk for the download link. I got the mysql-5.5.10 source tar file.
I could not find this download link anywhere from dev.mysql.com website. Doing a search results in a

"connection failure: Internal error: Cannot obtain XAConnection weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDisabledException: Pool EnterpriseSearchDS is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications.. at "

I was following the instructions to download source from this page:

and the version on every mirror I selected was 5.5.4. I think the mirror links are broken.

Just go to http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/ (as manual page says) and proceed from there, taking into account the version you really need. Do not start search from arbitrary mirror.

As for search at dev.mysql.com, it may not work at the moment (know bug, reported elsewhere more than once).
