Description:
Macbook Pro 2.8Ghz, 8Gb RAM running OSX 10.6.6 using Workbench version 5.2.31 to access a database, will not access the database AND if it does (momentarily) the program will crash.

This program is required by our college professor as the standard in MySQL editing, and I'm three weeks behind in class due to the inability to connect to my database. I've uninstalled and re-installed the software several times, to no effect.

This is happening ONLY on this version of MacBook Pro, as there is another student with the identical issue. MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz unit connects without issue to any database, so we've ruled out username/password/database name issues.

How to repeat:
Install in 17-inch MacBookPro of the same configuration, add a new connection, and try to connect.

Take a look in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ and attach a zip containing the crashlogs that were generated for Workbench.

Also, please, check if a newer version, 5.2.33, still crashes in your case.

On older 15" MacBook Pro it works for me.
