Description:
As the number of databases increases, the response when connecting to MySQL via Workbench gets exponentially slower. For example, 1430 databases takes 5 minutes.

This does not happen using Windows version

How to repeat:
Create instance of MySQL with 1430 databases and connect using MySQL Workbench 5.2.32

It sounds like my problem described in http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=60644 but you say it dosn't occur in the windows version, which confuses me. Are you using the same versions?

Fixed as of Workbench 5.2.41, and here's the changelog entry:

On Mac OS X, having a large number of databases (1,000+) could
cause performance issues where MySQL Workbench would load in several
minutes, as opposed to a few seconds.
