I do not see any "set-variable" string in the my.ini uploaded, so probably some other options file is used.

Please, send the output of:

c:\apache22\mysql\bin\mysqldump --version

Thank you for the feedback.

Will you see the problem if run mysqldump --no-defaults [other options]?
[26 Feb 2011 4:11] Sarwan Thakur
Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it gives an error with other options too. But only on Windows 2003 Server. I Have not tried on other Microsoft based Operating systems like WIN XP,WINDOWS 2008 Server. However, I will this MYSQL 5.5 version on Windows 2008 Server In the coming 2-3 days. We are actually using MYSQL for our Enterprise Based Application.

Thanks
Sarwan

Please, check if the same problem is still repeatable with a newer version, 5.5.11.

The version of mysqldump is 5.5.10 and i am taking back up on Windows Vista.
[10 Jan 2012 6:46] Sarwan Thakur
Can you try with mysqldump version 5.5.9? I also get this problem with mysql 5.5 on windows 2003, then changed it to version mysql version 5.1.
[10 Jan 2012 6:51] Valeriy Kravchuk
We do not fix bugs that are repeatable with old versions only. So, please, check with mysqldump from the latest 5.5 available, 5.5.19, and inform about the results.
