Could you please look for a file on your data install directory with your hots_name_computer.err and print here the error messages. Thanks in advance.
[7 Feb 2011 16:25] bhodi sol
There is no hots_name_computer.err in the installation directory, program files>Mysql>Mysql server 5.1> contains bin,Doc,lib, share directories in this there is no such .err file in any of these.
[7 Feb 2011 16:37] Miguel Solorzano
Please open in the installation directory the file my.ini and look the datadir variable which has the data directory, then in that datadir directory look for the *.err file.

Apologize datadir was in the hidden folder, here is the error in the .err file when I initiated the configuration wizard.

Looks like server started without problems. Please, try to connect to it with mysql command line client as root user with no password.

Problem Solved temporarily:

There is some problem with ver 5.1, removed 5.1 and downgraded to 5.0 it worked.

5.1/5.5 has some issues with windows server 2008 R2, it was strange now it got fixed by downgrading. This is temporary solution, since higher version is always better. Hence please look out this bug and add up this in 5.5 version....

Basically the MySQL Folder in "C:/Program Data" is not deleted when you uninstall. Try deleting the folder first, this should solve the problem.

The MySQL team can also help by cleaning up this folder by default during an uninstallation/reinstallation process.

See this for more info: http://www.literateknolohitura.com/2011/06/solution-to-error-number-1045-mysql.html (works too for win server 2008 R2)
