Description:
To help customers who still use InnoDB Hot Backup and can't upgrade to MEB (for example, due to legal issues) it could be good to upgrade the documentation of the Hot Backup to include the following compatibility note:

"InnoDB Hot Backup 3.0 is compatible also with MySQL 5.5.x provided that all InnoDB tablespaces are in the old "Antelope" format. If, however,
any of the InnoDB tablespaces are in the newer "Barracuda" format InnoDB Hot Backup 3.0 cannot be used."

Page http://www.innodb.com/doc/hot_backup/manual.html#bugs.compatibility includes something like:

"InnoDB Hot Backup 3.0 is compatible with every MySQL/InnoDB version from 3.23 to 5.1."

but it does not include any info on version 5.5.

How to repeat:
http://www.innodb.com/doc/hot_backup/manual.html#bugs.compatibility

I've added a note about InnoDB Hot Backup + 5.5 to the page at:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-enterprise-backup/3.7/en/bugs.compatibility.html

It is not practical to update the old Hot Backup documentation on the innodb.com site.
