Description:
I'm trying to create a new server instance from MySQL Workbench and get to the Test Database Connection step (with the following log status) and I get the error "Attempt to read or write protected memory".

Log report just prior to clicking Next at Test DB Connection in wizard:

Connecting to MySQL server localhost...
Connected.
MySQL server version is 5.1.54-community-log
MySQL server architecture is ia32
MySQL server OS is Win32

How to repeat:
Just did standard Server Administration to Create New Server Instance to the localhost.
