Description:
Either the binary package for AIX is missing from the download page or section 2.7 of the MySQL Reference Manual is incorrect.

How to repeat:
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/aix-installation.html

Suggested fix:
Please provide a binary version of MySQL 5.5 for AIX. Thanks.

This page, http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/aix-installation.html, is wrong.

AIX is not a supported platform for 5.5. See http://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/database.html. Sorry.

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been addressed in the documentation. The updated documentation will appear on our website shortly, and will be included in the next release of the relevant products.

I have removed the AIX and I5/os installation sections because neither is supported in 5.5.
