Description:
While connected to the MySQL server on localhost, I opened a database. As the opening was finishing, I received a notification requesting a bug report. The error cited was: 'Invalid node index'. The database appears to be open and functional at the present time.

How to repeat:
Start MySQL Workbench,
Connect to a database on localhost (here, d7 from Drupal 7.x install),

Please, check if the same problem happens with a newer version, 5.2.31.

The old version worked after attempting to start it this morning.

The newer, recommended version, however, crashes and will not start at all.

OS: Windows 7

Luck to you,
Paul

Please, send the output of Help > System Info menu item.

Message returned (by Windows) because main window not yet opened... e.g no menu available from which to select anything.

The splash screen however does display for a few seconds.

MySQL Workbench has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I attempted a repair to the installation via Control Panel.

It appears to have fixed whatever was wrong. The program now starts and appears to function normally.

Thanks for the help,
Paul

So, 5.2.31 works and original problem is not repeatable with it. Great.
