  I have not noticed errors when importing the xml file on Vista 64-bit.

  On Windows XP Home SP3 I've got error while opening uploaded boomoimport.mwb after importing SCHEMA.xml. So, we definitely have some problem to study here.

  Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Workbench 6.1.6 release, and here's the changelog entry: The "File", "Import", "Import DBDesigner4 model" operation would fail and generate an error. Thank you for the bug report.


Description: Doing the Import DBDesigner4 model resulted in a series of unexpected errors and strange renderings. How to repeat: from the home tab- Data modeling- Create New EER Model File>Import>Import DBDesigner4 model... open[SCHEMA.xml] Funny - the first time it failed with three unexpected error dialogs and the bird's eye view had a big red 'X' from corner to corner- but when I closed workbench down and ran it again it worked! compare -schema.xml the original DBDesigner4 model -boomoimport.mwb - this is when I encountered the errors -noboomoimport.mwb - this one imported cleanly
